Welcome Head Start is a program that makes differences! A variety of experiences are provided for your child and your family. Head Start is based on the belief that you, the parent, are the primary educator and most important person in your child's life. Head Start helps to prepare children for success in school and in life. Children receive a positive introduction to education, learn to play with other children, eat a variety of nutritious foods, and practice healthy habits. Head Start builds confidence in children and parents. Parents become involved in their children's education, discsover their own strengths, and continue to develop to their fullest potential. The Parent handbook containss an overview of our program and the services available to Head Start children and families, and the important information on Head Start policies and procedures. We look forward to spending this year with you. We hope you find Head Start to be wonderful experience for your child and you. We invite you to become an active partner on our team through your participation in our program.
